Cider Mill Road Bridge over McQuade Brook
Cider Mill Road has been re-opened to through traffic. The Cider Mill Road Bridge over McQuade Brook has been reconstructed and the project is substantially complete. Remaining work, including final pavement and shoulder grading, will occur in 2019
Older Updates:
Please be advised that beginning Monday, August 27, 2018, the Cider Mill Road Bridge over McQuade Brook will be closed to all traffic due to reconstruction of the bridge. Vehicles will be detoured via Joppa Hill Road to Campbell Road to McIntosh Lane. The bridge will be removed in its entirety, so no through traffic will be possible. Cider Mill Road will remain open for access to residences only. Seek alternate routes and see attached map for detour details. Please follow the direction of police, flaggers and signage and use caution in the work area.
Due to recent storm events, this closure is anticipated to be in effect until November 8, 2018.
Cider Mill Road Bridge was built in 1990 and consists of two 5-foot diameter reinforced concrete pipes. The new structure will be a 20-foot span precast concrete rigid frame structure with precast concrete wingwalls and includes reconstruction of approximately 500 feet of Cider Mill Road.
