Work on Strawberry Hill Road and Random Road continued through the end of November with the resurfacing of the roadway as weather permits.
Liberty Hill Road is being prepared for placement of the top course of pavement on Friday, October 11, 2019 (weather permitting – raindate: Monday, October 14). During paving operations, access to driveways may be delayed by up to 20 minutes, dependent upon operations. However, every effort will be made to limit impacts to residents. Expect delays and seek alternate routes.
Liberty Hill Road Phase 3 is substantially complete and the entire roadway will be re-opened to through traffic at the end of the day on September 20, 2019. Remaining work includes shoulder gravel and general project clean up. Expect delays due to alternating traffic through work zones between the hours of 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Police details and flaggers will be in place to assist motorists."
Please be advised that Liberty Hill Road between Olde English Road and Meadow/Smith Road will be closed to through traffic from August 22, 2019 until September 27, 2019. This closure will be in place twenty-four hours a day and no through traffic will be allowed. Local access will be maintained but only local residents will be provided access through the work zone. The barrier and chains will be relocated to just south of Olde English Road. Through traffic should follow sign for the detour route using Smith Road to Back River Road to Meadowcrest Drive to Forest Drive to Highland Farms Road (see map).
This project consists of the reconstruction of Liberty Hill Road from Meadow Road to County Road. Work includes the replacement of culverts, installation of underdrain and rebuilding of the roadway. Expect delays due to alternating one-way traffic through work zone.
Road Closure Advisory - Liberty Hill Road, Phase 2
During Phase 2, from July 18, 2019 to August 23, 2019, Liberty Hill Road will be closed from Highland Farms Road to Olde English Road. This closure will be in place twenty-four hours a day and no through traffic will be allowed. Local access will be maintained but residents are advised that the barrier will be installed just south of Highland Farms Road during nights and weekends.
Through traffic should follow sign for the detour route using Smith Road to Back River Road to County Road (see map).
Older updates: This project includes the reconstruction of Liberty Hill Road from Meadow Road to County Road, and resurfacing of Gage Road, Pheasant Run, a portion of Barrington Drive, Sebbins Pond Drive, Heather Drive, Teaberry Lane, Mulberry Lane, Bayberry Court and Sandy Pond Parkway.
